The Health Promotion and Education Research Team at The Kids Research Institute Australia received funding from the auDA Foundation to develop this Cyber Leaders' handbook to help students influence positive action among their peers by building and developing their leadership skills and cyber safety knowledge to help prevent or reduce harm from their behaviour online.
Content has also been drawn from the Cyber Leaders' student handbook developed by the Child Health Promotion Research Centre at Edith Cowan University, funded by AVAYA. The Health Promotion and Education Research Team primarily conducts applied and intervention research aimed at optimising the emotional and social health of children and adolescents. The team partnered with Burn Bright Australia to create the leadership modules you have worked through as part of this handbook. Burn Bright is a not-for-profit organisation that ignites young people’s potential and increases wellbeing through leadership and character building school based programs. Burn Bright is committed to building long term partnerships with schools and tailors their programs to deliver experiences that have an impact and create an environment in which young people can thrive.
