How do you make a change?

The aim of every good leader is to make a positive change. It is often so easy to create lots of great ideas but how do we take that from a thought to putting it into action? Often student leadership teams will overestimate what they can achieve or plan projects for change that are beyond what may be possible in short timeframes. Let's look at how to combat this!

In this video, we will cover:

  • What are the possibilities and ramifications from our online actions?
  • Identifying areas in our school that we can look to grow and change.
  • Creating actionable and accountable ideas that create change.
  • What are the steps I can follow to make an impact?

It is a real skill taking an idea and putting it into action, but it is something that you can achieve. By the end of this video you will be well on your way to taking that first step to being a powerful cyber leader.

To help you make a change it is also important both individually and as a team to understand who has skills in particular areas and where you and your team members' interests lie. This can help you plan the types of activities you might run in your school. To identify the strengths and interests of your team, download the "What are your strengths and interests?" activity in the Resource downloads tab. Share your list with your team members to decide who will do which activities or which parts of your chosen activities.
