Building your knowledge

One of the best ways you can help your friends and others in your school to be safe online is by developing your own online knowledge and skills.

It is also important as a cyber leader in your school to know how to help fellow students if they need support.

When planning activities in your school, you may focus on both the risks and rewards of using image sharing or social media websites and apps. You might also like to share practical tips with your peers that encourage them to have safe and positive interactions online.

This section of the handbook includes the following links to help build your knowledge in these areas.

Digital reputation

Cyber safe practices

Taking control

Supporting fellow students

For more information about these topics and more, you can also visit the Cyber Savvy and eSafety websites.
